Floods or storms
Call the State Emergency Service (SES) on 132 500 if you need assistance in non-life-threatening emergency situations, during floods and storms or other similar events.
Mains water and sewerage
1. If you have no water or are experiencing sewerage issues please contact Urban Utilities first on 13 23 64 to ensure there are no issues in your area
2. If you live in a complex utility infrastructure may be shared. It is a good idea to check with other occupants to see if they are experiencing similar issues. If a body corporate committee member is available they may be able to provide direction. Otherwise the emergency repair process should be followed.
Electricity
1. If you have no electricity please contact Energex on 13 62 62 to ensure there are no supply issues affecting your area.
2. If you live in a complex utility infrastructure may be shared. It is a good idea to check with other occupants to see if they are experiencing similar issues. If a body corporate committee member is available they may be able to provide direction. Otherwise the emergency repair process should be followed.
Smoke alarms
If no danger is present a chirping or beeping smoke alarm may not be considered an emergency repair. Refer to our troubleshooting guide for assistance.
