After hours assistance

Please refer to the following information if you require emergency assistance or assistance outside our office hours.

Life-threatening emergency

If you are in a life-threatening situation, call Triple Zero (000) immediately.

Floods, storms & cyclones

The State Emergency Service (SES) provides emergency assistance during severe weather events and can assist in the following situations:

  • Significant roof damage or major leaks
  • A fallen tree causing structural damage or blocking access to your home
  • Flooding or imminent risk of flooding inside your home
  • Damage requiring temporary emergency repairs

If you require SES assistance, you can:

  • Call 132 500
  • Lodge a request online at 132500.qld.gov.au
  • Submit a request via the SES Assistance QLD App, available on both Apple and Android devices 

Mains water and sewerage

1. If you have no water or are experiencing sewerage issues, please contact Urban Utilities on 13 23 64 first to check for any service disruptions in your area.

2. If you live in a complex, the utility infrastructure may be shared. It’s a good idea to check with other occupants to see if they are experiencing similar issues. If a body corporate committee member is available, they may be able to provide guidance. Otherwise, please follow the emergency repair process.

Electricity

1. If you have no electricity please contact Energex on 13 62 62 to ensure there are no supply issues affecting your area.

2. If you live in a complex, the utility infrastructure may be shared. It’s a good idea to check with other occupants to see if they are experiencing similar issues. If a body corporate committee member is available, they may be able to provide guidance. Otherwise, please follow the emergency repair process.

Smoke alarms

While a chirping or beeping smoke alarm can be frustrating, if there is no danger present, it may not be classified as an emergency repair. Please refer to our troubleshooting guide for assistance.
